I saw an advertisment for Michelin Brake Dust Repellant in my last Hot Rod magazine. I don't know if it works or not but it might be worth a try.

I tried those dust shields I bought at Pep Boys a few years ago for my old 96 TA. They didn't fit right. They did look nice though, having a black backdrop against chrome rims. Anyone out there with pics of them? Other than that, I just use windex and wax them every once in a while. Whatever you do, stay the hell away from this stuff I used 2 weeks ago. I think it was made by blue magic, or some name like that. The liquid was blue and it was supposed to leave a protective film on it, but all it did was leave my chrome rims real hazy looking. That **** was a royal pain to get off.

isn't blue magic a chrome polish? not a dust protectant?

I used it to polish the valve covers on my old 70 berl, it made them sparkle, just took a ton of hand buffing to get them to shine

Mother's makes a chrome polish...

I like it, gives it that nice frictionless feel like a waxed car, not sure how well it would protect from brake dust but it sure makes my rims look nice
