Middle Console Question

I have a 96 TA and i was wondering if the 98-02 TA's console is interchangable, because i like the new ones a hell of a lot better! If you know please help me out!

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they more or less just kinda drop in...

Correct. The holes for the screws are the same inside the console. As for the mounting tabs on the front of the console, I just fabbed up some tabs for the dash and bolted the console to them. Not hard at all.
