Different colored TA tails? WTF?

Different colored TA tails? WTF? I bought a replacement tailight b.c mine got cracked in a fender bender. The one I recieved is significantly darker than the other ones that I have. Why is this?
To a non car person you wouldnt be able to tell....but I SURE as hell can tell and it kinda gets to me. I dont want to buy a new set of tails but it looks like I may have to.

Very wierd. Looks like Ill be buying a new set...I guess Im just OCD like that. Funny b.c the stock ones are from 98 when the car was built...and the one I bought was off of an 02
