waxing help..

waxing help.. waxed my car with some stuff i got at the dollar store 
...it was turtle wax liguid polish or some ****....my mom told me not to use **** from the damn dollar store on a show car quailty car that never gets driven and i care so much about but hell i thought turtle wax was a good brand(not the best but decent) 
boy was i wrong...i washed and waxed my car and after waxing the car looks like it has grease or something all over it when it sets in the shade...its all nasty and **** and looks like it primered...but in the direct sun it shine great....
anyways today i went and got some meguiars NXT tech wax today for 15 bucks...which i should have in the first place
i guess my questions are...is the greasy **** normal for cheap wax?or was this stuff bad or what?and how do i get the wax off to rewax it or do i have to just wash it and let it bring itself off after awhile?
