Some "after" clay bar pics
I put it off long enough so after we got back from the track thursday night I took the car out to wash it and started on it with the clay bar. My paint felt like sandpaper no matter how much time I wasted waxing it. I know the previous owner had never used a clay bar let alone wax the car so it was in need of help. After 4+ hours of clay bar work and a coat of meguires polish and a coat of meguires gold glass it's lookin great. The firs pic is of some of the crap coming out of my paint and the rest is the car yesterday in the sun. Let me know what you guys think.

you shouldn't be able to see the crap on the claybar, well your supposed to fold over/in the clay as you use it.
Car looks great. I would maybe lose the windshield banner though, we know what it is but im not here to critisize.

The first time you clay the car it will take FOREVER because you'll get the clay looking like that after just a small section, but now that you've done the hard work it wont take very long at all the clay it. I clay my car once at the start of every year and keep polish on it throughout the rest of the year. This past weekend I Dawned the car to get any excess polish and whatnot off, clayed the car, washed the car again, then put two coats of polish and spray detailed the car all in just over two hours. I know I spent more than two hours just claying the car the very first time I did it. Looking good, very nice car man. Keep it shinin' now.

Thanks again for the compliments everyone. It's nice to see hard work pay off.

The clay bar is great. It makes black cars look like mirrors, along with the help of sealants and waxes and top coats. Heres a picture of everything that can possibly be done to a black car that's 9 years old with 63,XXX miles.
