Help removing interior panel coat hook
Hey Guys,
This has been kicking my butt. I can not figure out how to get the big interior panel that contains the backseat speakers out of the car. I know there are a few screws and stuff that need to come out first. Ive gotten the whole thing detached except for the part where the coat hook attaches. I popped out the little clip but the hook doesnt want to come free. The GM service manual isnt much help. What am I missing?
Thanks!

If you popped out the center piece then just pull the hook part back...it should release. if you havent gotten the center piece out then go to advanced auto parts and buy a trim piece remover (the one that has a spring on it). made it so much easier...first time i did it with pliers and screwdriver and took me like 30 min for one side...with the remover it took about 5 seconds.

I managed to get mine out using a small flathead screwdriver in that little slot on the bottom of the tab. It took a little working up and down, but I finally got the "barbs" loose.
