Default side molding delete tips

I have been wanting to remove the side moldings on my 05 silverado for some time. I'd like to see if anyone has tips on removal. Do I just get under the edge and start pulling? Are they just glued on like the f-bodys? Does it help to do this while the sun has warmed the vehicle up? TIA for any input.

Grab some dental floss, and run it behind the molding.

Then get some Goo Gone or some type of adhesive remover and get whatever residue is left.

Then wash and wax.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll give it a try this weekend.

I just got in from doing mine and the paint is really different from under the molding. I'm gunna work on doing what I can to make it appear blended tomorrow, but if nothing helps, I'll end up putting the molding back on.
