ok dumb *** question had one go out and just wanted to know if it would look the same if I just bought one or should i just replace the 2 at the same time.

i'd go ahead and replace both so you don't have to worry about the old one going out while driving around at night and getting pulled over.

plus you dont want one to be brighter than the other.

Yeah I agree, that hapened to me once and it didnt look the same so i just replaced them both anyway.

This is what I've done when lights burn out: Replace both and keep the still functional one in the trunk as a spare just in case. If you want to save some money: Buy only one new one and put it in the driver's side and put the other still functional one in the passenger's side.
