Default '02 WS6 -Help - how to remove firebird decal by trunk key hole

I'd like to remove the cheezy looking TRANS AM lettering and the little firebird decal right by the trunk key hole. I just think it looks cheap and would like to remove it without damaging the plastic that it's printed on. Does anyone have any ideas of how to remove it?

That seems like alot of work. When i did mine i just wet sanded mine with 2000 grit sandpaper until it was gone. I then used a porter cable and menzerna intensive polish followed by menzerna finishing polish to buff it out. It looks just as good and cuts out half the effort.

I tried sanding in a small spot and it didn't seem to remove it. Mine wasn't very faded so maybe it's different per application.

It takes some time. Took me about 5-10 mins of sanding before it was completly gone.

I just did this last night, I used phantomzer0's write-up as a guide, but I only used 1000 and 2000 grits sandpaper. That PlastX works great.
