I'm very happy with the Kaixen kit I just purchased. Pricey but I know a lot of import guys using these kits and they are very well made and work really well.

i've got the pilot kit. very easy to install. i had to get the eurolites conversion first. i get flashed all the time so i guess i need to aim them down a little bit. they were $230 shipped.

Since us Trans Am guys have sealed beams how are you guys installing these HID kits? Is there a way to modify a set of sealed beams to accept the HID bulbs or are we stuck with having to buy an HID kit AND the Eurolites conversion kit. I'd like to do HIDs on my car but its already gonna be expensive without having to spend another 80-100 on the Eurolites.

Well I have not seen anything as a complete setup, but I bought free-form housings and a HID kit. Since you have a 98-02 bird, I've seen a lot of nice projector retrofits which would be the way to go. I have a much more difficult situation in having a LT1 bird so this is the way I went.

there is no kit that I know of for an 880 lamp, but a lot of people switch to h3 fogs and throw an hid kit in them. An entire kit with the fogs can be found at blinglights.com .

Going that high in the temperature spectrum you will see a dimmer light than your standard halogen bulbs. 8000K is about as high as I would go unless it is a show car and you don't drive it at night.

Guys we are going to start carrying HID's for the T/A fog lights as well as HID kits for the 93-97 Firebirds & Trans Ams! We should have them within the next few weeks. If anyone is interested please PM me and I can get you the information on them!

click the link to see some pics of my setup. It's a hi/low H4 kit with a movable reflector to give me my high and low beam. The pics don't do it justice but I will work with my digital camera to take some better night shots to show the distance and pattern these are getting. These housings really do a great job of controlling the light output so as not to cause so much glare as you will see in similar conversion setups. After I'm done the halo foglights and clear corners, I'll take some proper pictures. I used the flash to dumb down the intensity a bit to take some of the shots.
