VHT or Black Outs?
Ok so im thinking of doing a black theme on my NBM TA. Black ceta, decals, and possibly lights. I saw one with black outs on it on here once and it looked good but is that kinda 90s? Should i use nightshade or get black outs? Does the black out kit have 3 pieces so the whole taillight assembly matches (including center panel)? Do you see the velcro tape when the lights are on? Just wondering what would be the best option, shoot me ideas...

If blacked out taillights are legal in your state go with VHT Niteshades. I have it and it's awesome. I got my taillights, rear 1/4s, SS LED brakelight solid black and lightly fogged my yellow turn signals. Brake lights shine through fine. It took about 2 cans, I'd get 3 to be on the safe side. VHT is nice because you can make them as light/dark as you'd like and clearcoat it to make it shine!. If you go this route, PM me and I'll send you the info on prepping/finishing it up properlly.
If blackouts are illegal, run blackouts during the day but take them off at night. A nice cop will believe you, a mean one will ticket you.

I'd go with the nightshade , as far as seeing the velcro I guess it just depends where you put it , on my brothers Z28 u can see his velcro on his turn signals at night , hes gonna change too the shade , and you can just dust the lights or you can black them out depending on how much you use , just prep them first , their's a wright-up on how to do it around here somewhere

The taillight blackout covers for the T/A do not use velcro, they snap on and stay on. Also, there is no reason to take them off at night. At night you can't tell that the blackouts are there. At night in my T/A with ALL the lights blacked out, they all showed through perfectly. During the day is the only time that a cop would see them and ticket you for them, but I never got a ticket for any of my blackouts.

What is the best brand of "black out"? where is the best place to order? is it 3 pieces? Also do they make front running light/foglight black outs? Instead of niteshading all of it I could just pop on covers if they have them for it all (other than the side lenses of course)

LUND Covers FTW
they snap right on but I used weather proof double sided tape stuff to make sure they stay on.
I used that spray on blackout stuff on my corner lenses. I wouldn't recommend using the spray on stuff on your tail lights.

Are they 3 piece? To cover the center piece as well so they dont sit up higher than it. Also where do you get em? They look good other than the white lund logo, think it would come off??
