hey guys i was thinking about geting a set of the short black hockey stripes for my z and was worried about messing up the paint.
my brother in law has a 01 monte carlo with vinal stripes going down the middle and the faded and when he was going to take them off they messed up the paint.
will it hurt the car?

The stripes won't hurt the paint but if it sits in the sun a lot the rest of the paint can fade and the paint under the stripes will be darker. If the car is garaged it won't hurt it at all.

i had my stripes on for i think just over a year. the car lives outside under the sprinklers etc... had one end come loose at the car wash and the rest just peeled off really easily. actually I was surprised at how easily they came off, paint looked perfect underneath. no residue or anything. my car's pewter. i can see how something like red might be a problem but overall i dont think i'd worry about it messing with the paint at all
