Default repainting engine bay!

I have my motor out and need some tips on repainting the engine bay! Does anyone have a link to FAQs or tips? Thanks!

I would use the old paint as primer, sand, sand, sand. Take your time. Make sure you have a pretty clean area to spray in so you dont get dirt in the paint.

If you're not planning on filling in any holes or smoothing or anything look that, then simply scuff up the original paint with a red scuff pad or use some 400-600 wetsand paper and lightly rough up the surface. Then spray on base coat. I personally would NOT clearcoat the bay so you keep an OEM appearance so use flat black paint.
