Default Wtf Is Going On

Ok... so my rear hatch struts went bad... or so i thought they went bad on my stock firebird w/o spoiler hatch. I replaced them with some hatch struts from advanced auto and i put them on the same time i put my trans am hatch on my car... about a month later, and ive only opened my hatch like 4 times, and now they wont stay up. What the heck is going on. Are the rear hatch struts different from trans am hatches to firebird hatches? This is pissing me off cause i hate having to hold the heavy *** hatch up every time i open my trunk. Someone point somethin out to me??? I would really appreciate it.

Sounds like they are different then. I have seen different ones for other cars that have a spoiler as an option (Mazda MX-6). So it sounds like they do have them for our cars too.

Go back to the store and TELL them they gave you the wrong ones and see what they say.

Peace,
Craig.

TA hatch I would think would be a good bit heavier. See if you can take them back and get stronger struts.

Correct, the high-rise spoiler is heavier than the Firebird/Formula hatch
