NEW PICS: Detailed The New Car
Initial picture post: https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-gto-2004-2006/612028-bought-2006-srm-a4-weekend.html
I've had the GTO for just over a week and it's got a little over 1,000 miles on the clock now. It just got it's first full detail treatment this weekend...
Wash with Dawn
Clay Magic claybar
Wash with Zaino car wash
Zaino Z5 with ZFX, buff off after hazing
Zaino Z5 with ZFX again, buff off after hazing
Zaino Z2 with ZFX, buff off after hazing, topped off with Zaino detailing spray
Just wiped down the interior with a damp cloth and treated the leather with Zaino's leather conditioner. The engine bay was still relatively clean so I just wiped a few dirty spots down. The pictures dont really show it as it was getting dark and I didn't have a good location to shoot at so I just pulled over and snapped a few shots with what little light I had left but a good detail has this Spice Red paint looking pretty good.

I absolutely love the red leather but I went black for two reasons...
1) With this exterior the red interior would be too much IMO.
2) I wanted something that was a little more subdued and classy looking. The red leather looks awesome but the black interior fits me more.

How do you get such a deep contrast in your pictures? First pic looks awesome with half the windshield reflecting the sky.
02 1LE HAWK- right click on the image and click on properties, should tell you the camera/brand/settings (maybe).

Thanks guys.
Camera is a Nikon D80 digital SLR with Nikkor DX 18-135mm lens.
For the contrast I just play with the camera settings until I get the desired effects I want, which is mostly just trying to get the picture to look like what my eyes are seeing. Mainly its a balancing act between aperture settings (f-stop), shutter speed, and ISO settings. Past the settings I use its just using the lighting I have to my advantage and taking alot of shots to get a few good ones.
