Default Powder coat, paint, or something else?

I want my stock 16" 5 spoke t/a wheels to be black. Should I have them powdercoated, or painted? Are there any other options? What do u think the prices would be ballpark? How well would they hold up?
Thanks

Bob

i recently had my wheels powder coated a gloss black. they turned out a hell of a lot better than i expected, i couldn't be happier. powdercoating them will hold up better than painting from what i've heard. i was quoted as much as $60 per wheel by one place (which i think is still reasonable), but i found a guy here locally to do them for $100 for the whole set. it's a cheap and easy way to bring new life to a set of wheels, but i'd personally rather find a set of 17" wheels in black.
