How to "texture" fiberglass?
Hey, I made a "test" set of tweeter pods for my Silverado (actually came out pretty good for having never worked with fiberglass before). I'm going to use them for now (will take some pics tomorrow once I install and wire them up) but plan to make a "final" set in the next week or two.
I want to know how to "texture" the surface such that it looks like the factory panel surface (has that "cracked" look). How do I do this?

Well, two things come to mind.
You can either paint it with that textured spray paint (which actually looks really good)
Or try using a sponge, or something with similar texture. Just be sure to do it lightly.
Just a couple ideas. I used to fiberglass, but we never added a textured finish on any of the parts.
