Default pics of trans am moulding delete

i was just wondering how my trans am would look with the mouldings deleted, i have a black t.a but pics of any color car would be helpfull, just trying to decide if i should take them off , and is it easy to do, i would imagine you would use a heat gun and then peel off. let me know, thanks kenny

Damn, that's a beautiful WS.6. Everyone should do the !moldings mod. It makes the car look soo much cleaner/sleeker.

Thanks - I agree - deleting the moulding on a T/A simplifies the lines a little and "cleans up" the look. I did not get pics before I put it away for the winter but I got it all cleaned up and had the windows tinted Man I can't wait for Spring

It is easy to do. Heat them up with a blow dryer and take a 12" or so long piece of fishing line. Slide the line behind the molding and move the fishing line back and forth like a saw blade. It should come off pretty easily. Then go back with some "goo Gone" or equivalent. Prbably an hour or so process.

This might be a dumb question, but is it painted factory color underneath?

Oh man I can't wait to do this... my molding is sort of off-white and doesn't fit my white paint, but I always thought there was something nasty underneath!

As long your cars weren't repainted, you should be ok.

I suppose I should ask before trying this... but does this apply to my 97 as well? and i'm worried that the paint may have faded a little and it may look odd after taking it off.

I'll definitely get on that tomorrow and post pics, I'm thinking about taking off the trans am badge at the bottom too and replacing it with a black/chrome one
