Best way i have ever done is, you get a hair dryer, get it nice and hot, then get dental floss (yes dental floss), and in a sawing motion, slowly take it off using the floss (inbetween the molding and the car). Then use goo be gone to get the remaining gook off. Worked perfectly for me.

I just heated mine, grip and rip with some pliers. Rolled remaining glue off with thumb, rub some goo-gone on it and it was done. You might want to start with the small piece to make sure there are no paint fade issues. It makes car look much better!

Just yanked it off on a hot day when the car was sitting in the sun, came off easy. Getting all the sticky crap off was a total PITA though.

i just did mine last week. all i did was take my heat gun and warm up just the edge. after that gets warm enough, i would pry off the corner and just peel the rest back slowly. it doesn't damage the paint or anything because half of the adhesive still sticks to the car so the paint isn't even touched at this point. once the molding is removed, take your finger and just rub it off towards either direction (no need for a fingernail or sharp edges). it will all roll up into a ball, by the end. after all of the bulk is off, spray some WD-40, Good-Gone, Lighter Fluid (that's my favorite), or other adhesive-removal products and just wipe the area down to get the remaining fade off. once that's complete, polish and buff it out and it should look as though there was never any there!
