Default new hood

i just got my ram air hood form harwood today, i was wondering if anyone has just bolted a fiberglass hood on without any problems. i just want to have it on for the month or so before i get it painted. also the scoops are closed, theres no openings how would i go about opening them if i bought an airbox? and does a stock ws6 have the grills in the scoops or are they just open? thanks for any input

I am not sure how it is on the Pontiacs but on Camaro's you need lighter load gas hood struts. The factory ones are set up for a heavier hood and will crack a fiberglass hood. I know a guy that happened to.
