Exclamation LED Odometer Question- Trans Am

I have just installed my LEDs into my guage cluster. I swapped the 3 surface mount LEDs out for 2 3mm LEDs. I also used a odometer display that came with the camaro cluster. I put it all into the car to check the LEDs. All LEDs are working. The issue is that the Odometer is now just showing a blank green screen. NO mileage is showing. Any ideas what may be the issue of the mileage numbers not showing up? Thanks for the input/advice.

Dave

You probably either didnt put the pieces back in right, or they are missing. Go through it and make sure everything is correct.

Nathan,
I put the glass on top, with the gray and opaque flexible parts ontop of the white cover. I did use a jumper in the middle where the center surface mount LED was. What other pieces could be missing or out of place?

Nathan,
I found the problem. I had the glass turned 180 out where the white opaque material was covering the contacts on the front of the circuit board. Glad I had the original display to catch the orientation after reading your response. Thank you.

Just in case anyone else reads this thread... use a marker on the sides prior to disassembly. say 1 mark on 1 side and 3 or 4 marks on the other. That way you can orient the pieces back EXACTLY to the hair where it came off of.

My two cents...

I agree diffuser, I tell my crews to match marke pieces when we disassemble the turbines. This was a case of getting slack and brain farting.
