I bought mine on ebay as well. They have been on for 2 years, and I have not had ANY problems. They will stay as long as the area is prepped correctly, and you are not rushing when installing them.
I used silicone AND 3M double sided tape, and haven't had any problems. If you use the silicone, which I recommend, let it set up at least 24 hours before you drive the car.
