Default bump strips on a T/A!

how do i get those damn bump strips of of the doors and rear fenders! any tips, or pics? i heard it looks really good just wanted to see!

lol "bump strips"? You mean side moldings? Just take a hair dryer and some fishing line. Comes right off

Pulled mine off the other day and I LOVE the way it looks without it. Never thought something like that would make such a huge difference

I would also like to do that to my T/A. The side moldings on mine are a different tone of white and it looks bad. I think. Can anyone give more details on how to remove them....I just dont want to screw anything up.

really not much to it.. i used two strips of fishing line and sawed up and down took about 15 minutes, it's easier if you pull the molding away from the car as you "saw." then I used some "goo gone" spary made by 3M specifically for cars and soaked it up realy good then went from one end to the other pushing with my fingers on the tape. After that there was 13yr old dirt caked onto the paint which i used a claybar to get off. All in all it took about two hours to do because my friends came over and my fingers were getting raw.

Side molding? what side molding? you can't even tell it was ever there.
