What's the difference in weight between a stock and fiberglass hood?

I do not want a pin on hood. It has to latch like a factory hood.

I have an LT1 Z28.

I think it was 27lbs between my factory ss hood and vfn ss hood if I remember right.

The factory SS hood is made of a composite that is lighter than the standard steel Z28 factory hood. Anyone know the weight of the hood stock?

If its anything like the ws6 hood and the trans am hood on the lt1's it really doesnt feel like much. Im getting ready to put a new hood on my car and asked the exact samet thing and they told me they didnt think it was much weight at all. I helped them test fit it and really it didnt feel like a lot to me either.
Im not sure if it would be in the list, but i think someone made a thread that stripped a car and said what everything weighed that they removed. Could be worth a try.

The stock steel hood isnt all that heavy.

30lbs. is a pretty good amount of weight. I know when I swapped hoods it was a pretty drastic difference.
