PC Detail, and some other little things
Finally got a chance to use my PC on the SS, so I figured I would take some pictures. Basic steps were:
Clay bar
Tropi-care Swirl Cutter with LC Orange Pad
Tropi-care Polish/Sealant with LC Blue Pad, buffed off with microfiber bonnet
Meguiar's Gold Class Wax
Tropi-care Detail Spray
I also went over the wheels quite a few times with Mothers Billet and Aluminum Polish
Paint before
and after
Overall I love the Tropi-care products, they offered a great deal on their products and the PC, and I love the results. The roof panel, hood, and spoiler still have some linear scratches in them that wouldn't come out with the swirl cutter so I guess next time I will need to try some more abrasive compound, or maybe even color sanding. I'm not sure what it will take. Overall I am very happy though, all the swirl marks and circular scratches are gone, and she feels smoother than a baby's butt
I also finally got some other things I have been putting off taken care of. Windows tinted 20%, DragonZ28 stainless tail panel letter fill-ins, and a short antenna.
I am very happy with the exterior now, but nothing is ever finished. I figure some nicer wheels and a few other things down the road to keep me busy. Next month the interior gets some help

Where can you buy the PC and for how much? That looks great! Can someone who is a complete novice use this without burning through the paint and/or creating worse swirl marks? I need something like this for christmas (i know its early)

We have shipped many of these kits throughout the US for several years and the transformations are pretty common and dramatic.
First of all, it is safe and efficient for the beginner or novice. Using the correct pads and chemicals to remove surface blemishes is the key consideration. In some instances, micro-marring (infliction of tiny fine scratches) can occur with the use of the yellow "cutting" pad and mild abrasive rubbing compound to remove stubborn scratches, but it can be corrected with the use of an orange foam "cutting/polishing" pad to restore surface clarity.
ncSSu:
Nice work on your restoration.

Slowtealz28 - I got mine through Tropi-Care, and love it. It was very easy to use, and this was only my second time using it.
