Default Cages

Didn't know what section was best, but curious.. Whats the details on cages? How much do they usually cost and what's required for an 11 second car? Thanks

If the car runs 11.49 or quicker then it needs a 6 point bar. Wolfe is running a 20% off special right now on their stuff. For the 4th Gen cars a base mild steel weld in 6 point runs $289 plus freight from Wolfe. Now the 4130 cromoly weld in bar starts at $415. The more you spec it out then the higher the price. 11.49 or quicker.... but how do stock cars that run under taht get away without a cage? or is that just rules to run the track?

It just depends on the track. The time in my sig for the Z28 was run with no cage. If the track owners have any sense then they will enforce the rules
