Exhaust exiting poll
Hey guys, I don't post here much but I have much respect for all you have done to your f-bodies, I love the time spent here on these threads.
Anyhoo, I'd like some feedback. I have a 95 Formula that had a body kit done by the dealer in TN. When they did this, a SLP Loudmouth with tips was included and the rear molding was cut to accommodate the tips. Looks fine for a trailer queen but as a daily driver it got a good bit of soot buildup all nasty on the paint.
So I got rid of the SLP and got PaceSetter L/T, ORY and Magnaflow. Here's my question. I prefer the look that you see mostly on early/mid-eighties G-bodies where the tips are right behind the tire pointed to the side. I know it's uncommon but it's what I dig. When I took the square tips from the SLP off, I didn't want it to look all jacked up with these stupid *** rectangles carved in the body kit so I dremeled them out by rounding them off. But since I want the tips to side exit, as it stands now - they show.
I'm wondering if it might look better if I hit just the part that shows with some flat black and run with it or do y'all think it's ok like it is?
Thanks for your input.

Here's a pic the owner before me took with chrome 16's.
Here's one again from the previous owner that shows those SLP tips cut into the body kit.
And here's a more recent pic of the 17" /A wheels that seem to match the two-tone better than the chrome did (some would disagree)..
