Default Intake color on Red car

I have a new LS6 intake that I am going to install when I install my cam. I want to paint it but have no clue what color to paint it. I thought about red and gloss black. Should I consider something else? It is costing me $100 to get it done. The guy doing it does great work. Thanks for the help.

My vote would be for gloss black. I think red can look a bit tacky sometimes

Go black. Red looks bad too me. I'm gunna go gloss black if I ever get a intake. I have a black strut bar though.

Cool. Thanks for the replies. Gloss black it is then. I was leaning towards that anyway. Does $100 seem fair to have it prepped and painted?

Id say do it a gloss black and do valve covers red. Make sure you take your time in prep though. I didnt do enough prep and the paint started chipping off as soon as I installed it. I think specialized stainless is the vendor on here that can powdercoat them so thats always a though too.
