Here is how I did mine
1. sanded everything with some 300 grit paper to scuff and clean everything up for paint
2. wiped everything down with Duplicolor prep wipes
3. a few coats of primer
4.wet sanded the primer
5. a few coats of color
6. wet sand the color
7. a few coats of clear
8. wet sand the clear.
You can go to dulpi colors site and look at their wheel coating. They have a more detailed write up on there, and thats what I went by when doing mine.
