Default water spots on windows

does anybody know how to get water spots off of windows. i heard white vinegar works but it didnt do anything. any other ideas.

Well this is my experience. You've heard the old "hair of the dog" saying about drinking on a hangover. Well, the same holds true for water spots. The lime deposit that is actually the water spot, will usually hold up to anything but itself. Try a white vinegar and water mix, in a spray bottle, and spray/wipe like you would windex. The water in the solution breaks down the lime spots, and the vinegar helps to evaporate the damp spot, before it forms again. This works for me, as we have very hard water in Chicago, and I always have water spots on my windows after washing my car. It's inevitable. Also, you might try a glass wax once the spots are gone, that way the water will run off, instead of build up in spots.
