Default Stock SS Hood or Aftermarket?

Hey guys, I have a chance at an actual SS hood that is the same color as my car, so no need to paint. It has a damaged corner that can be repaired, and just a few nicks and scratches barely visible and like my stock hood now.

Should I go with that, or get an aftermarket one?

If the price is right I say go for it. You'd have to pay to have an aftermarket hood painted on top of the price of the hood itself. Plus the OEM hood should fit better, but you never know.

Yeah, I have a VERY good price on it, just need to pay to repair the corner, but that isn't expensive. I am just scared that I'm not seeing the actual condition in the pictures I have. To me, it looks like its in pretty good condition with a couple of nicks, but for an OEM SS hood for this price, I think I could deal with a couple of nicks lol.

I would just be worried about the color not matching right. If either the hood or the front end is more faded than the other. But if its not to bad I would guess it could be polished out. If the price is right and the damage is not bad go for it, if it close enough go look at it first, if not get the seller to send you as many pics from as many different angles in good light as you can.

he showed me pics in BRIGHT sunlight, so it might look different than what it is exactly. The seller told me it is Bright Red and not faded, and my car isnt faded.
