Default Where to install temp sensor on TH400?

Pictures would be helpful. Its for my Autometer electric sending unit.

i would assume a cooler line would be fine or pan. in my 4l60e i welded a fitting into the pan.

There is a port on the drivers side of tranny that it fits into, but I think its a vacuum port. Anyone know?

I like the pan. I have a cast pan and just drilled and tapped the hole. Sender screws right in.
