Default TH-400 brake options and install synopsis

hey everyone ill be picking up a TH-400 this weekend and im going to be installing a brake in it before i put it in the car basically i am wondering what are the different options for brakes out there ive seen internal and external solenoids which is obvious but what else is involved, and what is basically required to install the various types, i am not afraid of trans work i rebuild 16 speed powershifts all the time so... any help would be appreciated thanx!

Most TH400 brakes are full manual reverse pattern configuration.
All the common ones are, although there are some other types.

Most are also external solenoid, with the solenoid bolting in place of the modulator.

One of the better ones on the market is actually an internal solenoid and made from billet aluminum.

I don't believe the companies that make these brakes are sponsors so I can't help you beyond that.
