Car idles up and powers when in gear...?
Ok so I've got my swap running and everything, it idles low in park or neutral...like 650-700 low which suprises me with this cam.
But when I pull it into gear the idle comes up to 1000-1500 but loads up the tranny and it starts pulling the car.
Is this just a normal thing with the stupidity of cam and stock stall? My 700 with what I thought was the same converter would not load that hard until nearly 2k rpms so I'm just wondering if it has to do with the tune or maybe I need some other kind of switch or something for the tranny.
And again as I pointed out I know a cam and stock stall is a bad idea and will be changed but right now I can't afford it and the cam was required to get the motor running since the stock one was toast anyway, not to mention it being easier out of the car...that is not my question, I just want to know if that is the ONLY reason for this issue.
