Default Could this be a broken flexplate?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtK_IFA3OVw

I started my car about a week ago and everything sounded completely fine...a couple of days later I went to start it and heard this noise...The car has been sitting for a while since I blew the transmission...2nd, 3rd, and 4th are gone.

Doesnt sound like a flywheel, sounds like a rod that is completed fked up. Check your oil and see if there is any ''Glitter'' in it but I dont think it is a flywheel but hard to tell from a video

Could be a badly damaged flex plate but does indeed sound more like and engine.

How would I check the flexplate bolts?

the only way that I know is unbolt the converter and push back towards the trans and move the flywheel back and forth. Look up there with a flashlight and look for hairline fractures. CHECK your oil first, it may save you some time looking for a trans problem. Either way good luck
