Tranny brake???
So..... Is a transmission brake worth it?
I'm just curious. In the process of converting my Z06 to an auto with a procharger, cam, and then eventually forge it all so it can handle more boost.
Anyone have advice on the pro's/con's of the transmission brake?
Thanks in Advance

I got to play with one in a thm350 in a 78 trans am with a n20 sprayed 465. As long as you have the traction and a stall matched to your setup, it's worth it in my opinion. Assuming the trans can handle it.
But be prepared, it's a VIOLENT launch and will immediately require a change of pants.

ha ha ha!!
Thanks there.
Yeah the tranny I'm putting in will be built to handle around 900hp, so it should handle the 750 I'm putting in it. I guess I might as well add it. I won't even be launching that hard, but I only have my left leg due to an accident, so this would allow me to save time since I can hold the foot on the gas and then flip the switch
Thanks there.
