See attachment. This is an external lockup diagram for a 200-4r.

If I eliminate the pressure switch, this essentially gives me just a flip switch lockup. However, from my understanding, the 200-4r's are set up so that the only gear it locks up is fourth. Can I leave the switch flipped ON at all times so that it locks up when I get in fourth and then when I want to go WOT I unflip the switch? I may run a WOT switch of some sort to break the connection so it doesn't lock up when I floor it. That way it's always in "lockup" mode.

Just checking that this will be ok and I am correct on my thoughts.

If you have that presure switch in the 4th clutch tap then yes it will only lock in 4th and will unlock when you shift out auto or manaully. The interupt switch will just turn it all at all times.

I have not touched the transmission. It was built by previous owner and came off of a grand national. Do they only lockup in 4th? I suppose it's even better if it locks up in third, and it will be easy to tell once i get driving the thing.

It depends on how it was set up. Normally with the factory set up it will lock in 2-3-4 if power is applied. The PCM is near totally in control. So very early ones were different. You need to know exactly how it is wired inside to determine this .Pull the pan and take a picture.
