Question How Much HP?

Just had a few questions about me newly rebuild tranny... i had a stage 3 rebuild done to my 4l60E and i was just wondering how much horsepower it would handle??... I have already had a yank 3600 stall with a custom cam and im looking to do some head work?? what you guys think?

Who did it? It's not like stage 3 is a universal standard for a built 4L60E.

Stage three could literally be anything unless the company post whats in there. For instance our stage three is our present top offering because we have stages 1-2-3 other companys have 3-4-5 so its meaningless depending on what company made it without more info.

See if you can get a build list and post it, then we can give you an idea on HP level. Stage III is not an industry standard, everyone differs.

Hell I think our entry level 3 has more money in new parts in it then some companies top of the line level 3! I guess more info is needed here. Then again HP ratings in my opinion are sales pitches. I have seen units that are advertised for up to 800hp hardly take 400 and fail multiple times under warranty. I guess it all depends on the salesman and the builder! We have a couple of our level 3 entry level transmissions that have been in the 9's. Not recommended but it has happened. Vince
