Default Yank vs BMR Crossmember for a TH400?

Anybody got any opinions as to what might be the better option? At $150+, I think they both are a rip. I may end up modifying my M6 crossmember, Ideas please.

I did this for my 4L80e swap. I have since got a BMR unit I caught used. Both worked the same, but you need to consider driveline angles when making one.

So are you guys saying spend the $175 + shipping to get the correct crossmember? It really pisses me off to spend this kind of $ for a $60 maybe $80 item. I mean the steel is worth perhaps $5, how much does it cost to set up a jig to weld the cross member? Total manufacturing cost can't be over $20-25. I'd really like to hear from one of the mfrs, doubt I will.

No you dont have to. Go make one, I did and it worked fine, all I'm saying it do some research and make sure it allows for correct driveline geometry.

I'm running a UMI with my TH350. Got it when it first came out and fit pretty well. I've got a tunnel mounted torque arm though

I ordered the UMI cross member from Speed Inc this afternoon, I didn't realize they made one. UMI has supplied everything from my K member to panhard bar, I ordered a tunnel mount TA from Speed Inc last week.
