6l80 in a First Gen F-body I have a 2002 LQ9 from an Escalade I plan to warm over and install in a first gen f-body. Will a 6l80 communicate (compatible) with the ECM from the LQ9?

No, it will not. The 6L80 has the TCM in the pan on the trans. You would need an ECM out of a similar vehicle so they would talk. Very complicated setup. Probably not worth the effort for now, to many unknowns. I would recommend a 4L80 for strength.
