Default Tight stall??

How do you know if your stall is to tight?

Last month I took my car to the strip and couldnt hook on my DRs. I thought it just might have been the track. I got some different DRs now and am planning on going back to the track next weekend. If I still cant hook could it be my stall? Would a looser converter help?

My stall is a Vig 3200, and the tire I was running last time was a 255/50R16 micky et street. I'll be running 275/50R15 hoosier dot's next week. stock 3:23 gears

well a looser stall wont help you at all. it will make things worse if anything. if the converter is tight, i limits the rpms you launch at, which i would think would help you. i have a 3600 fuddle now and its tight and i have the launching down to a science. its very tight though. i have a yank pt4000 sitting in the box, waiting to go on now, and thats why i bought your mickeys that you couldnt hook on!!! j/k haha

how do you launch your car??

Ive tryd just mashing the gas off idle. And ive tryd foot breaking it up until its on the edge of spinning and then when the light turns nailing it to the floor. It usually flashes to about 3k rpms. Both ways it would just eat those mickys up. One time I babied it out a little and then nailed it and it didnt spin but the 60fts were about the same as when I just nailed it and spun.

Track prep? Whats track prep? Haha Its not that good at all. Thats why Im hoping that next week I can hook better. It was the first track day of the year last time so there wasnt much stick layed down on the track.
