tranny gauge on a 4l60e?

Default tranny gauge on a 4l60e?

I got an autometer digital trans temp gauge... is there a spot to thread in the senor or do i need to have a bung welded in some where (if so where would be the best place)????? i have been told there is a fill plug spot where i can place it.... thanks

There is a test port on the top of the case, driver's side. That's where most guys put it.

if you put it there it will read about 15 to 20 degrees higher then the actual temp of the tranny i just drilled and tapped it in to the pan but i have a B&M deep pan so it was easier then the POS stamped steel stock pan

dont put it in the pressure port. buy the bung, take the pan off and take it to a muffler shop and they will prolly do it for next to nothing and it will only take a sec.

it came with the brass bungs.. i got a buddy thats going to weld it up for me.. thanks for the info..
