Default Could this be the reason?

So my transmition is going out, and I’ve ordered a new th 350 and I’m just waiting for it to come in with a new converter, flexplate, hurst shifter and so on... I’m wondering if my transmition can make any noise since its going out... or maybe the converter or the flex plate? and the reason I’m asking is because my car just started making a screeching noise every once in a while and I think its my trany?

Does this "screeching" noise happen when you mash the gas?
Can you be more specific on the noise.

yes its only when im on the gas but it doesn’t seem to do when i accelerate hard, or maybe its just i cannot here it over the exhausts... 2day i noticed mostly when i would be cruising at around 40, pushing on the gas trying to stay at the posted speed... Maybe when im in the drive or overdrive gear going about 40.. and its a reel faint kind of screech, sort of like when you brake pads are screeching or something like that...
