Default Stock t350 atf?

I know the recommended fluid for a stock turbo 350 is supposed to be dexron. But I have heard some fluids make the trans shift harder, which would be a plus. I'm not going to drain the converter, just drop the pan and put in a new filter, so the two would have to mix. Any insight on this?

Type F. Doesn't have friction modifiers like the dextron.

I've got a 400 w/ Type F. Type F was for Ford transmissions; but builder reocmmended it.
