Default 700r4 in '93 T/A

Ok I know the 700r4 is basically the same as the 4l60 in the '93 trans am...my question is what year firebirds/camaros should I be looking at to get a 700r4 as finding the 4l60 without the "E" is next to impossible!

87 up to 93 should be fine, You will have to re wire a bit for lockup but its not real hard .

Actually the '93 is considered a 4l60 which is the same as the 700r4...
But thank you I will keep looking for a 700r4 or a 4l60

I found a 700r4 this is what the guy said "the tranny is in great condition, 81,000 miles just turned and shifted great. no problems. it came out of an 84. keep in mind its a V6 Belhousing."
So, this won't be a good one because of the year and V6 bellhousing?

The 90* V6 motors have the same belhousing as the SBC iirc. And the 93' 700r4 has a 5-wire plug instead of the common 4-wire which makes them harder to find. Trust me, ive replace mine 3 times.

So the '84 with the V6 bellhousing is not a good choice?
So, how do I do the wiring if I find a 700r4 since the '93 is different?
Thanks guys for all your help!

You just have to run a couple wires to get the lockup solenoid to work.
