Default TH350 noise?

Recently rebuilt early 70s TH350. Drove it around for a few weeks now and just recently noticed a clicking or tapping noise in "D" and "R". The noise starts around 10mph and remains at all higher speeds. It gets really loud on deceleration while coasting and then it slows and goes away before the vehicle reaches a stop. The noise is not present in "N", "2" or "1" at any speed or rpm.

I read that the direct cluch is applied in only D and R and not the other ranges so I'm thinking something there? The trans was built with a 36 element intermediate sprag clutch, not sure if those produce any noise with normal operation, I wouldn't think so.

I rebuilt the trans myself, it was my 1st TH350, although I've done a couple 400s before with good results.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check the governor to cover clearance.

If that were the issue it would do it in all ranges correct? Driving down the road in D with the noise, if I bump it into N, or 2 the noise immediately goes away yet the governor should still be making noise if that was it.
