I'm looking to get one out of a wreck. Is one year or vehicle more desirable than the other, to get a 4l80e from?

You guys that are running this trans, what are you using to control it? I want to go DFI, so I'll probably have to get a stand-alone for the trans.

the late model (98+?) ones are better. I use a Compushift controller.
