Default tranny fluid change

One of the rubber hoses developed a leak causing the underside to look showroom clean. I temporarily fixed the leak and filled it back up but I am going to change the lines and change the fluid since its about time anyway. Anyone use a particular brand? I know redline is great but the price to fill it back up is a little rich for my blood. Any things you guys would recommend replacing in there other than a shift kit?

Stay away from synthetic transmission fluid....just buy Dex III in whatever brand your local auto store carries. I personally buy the cheapest option Autozone carries and change out once a year. Don't forget the filter as well.

Lot of folks have had problems and failures running the synthetic stuff. Vince at FLT told me to stay away from it in my level 4 unit and just run good old cheap dex.
