Default trani cooler line size?

Hey guys finally going to auto and was just thinking if a bigger line to the cooler is better or worse for helping cool the fluid more efficient.

Going to a bigger line wouldn't hurt. It'll also help by allowing you to add a slight more amout of atf to the system. Not sure what size you want to go with, but a -6AN is 3/8" and -8AN is 1/2". On mine I'm going to probably run -8 with a big stall and cooler. The more fluid you can add to the system, the more efficient it will be.

it would be better as far as the added volume goes like said above. I wouldnt think though that flow would be any better because you're still restricted to port size on the transmission case. I could be wrong. I think most people stick with the 3/8

Yea, the restrictions are the port sizes. Run as big of a cooler as you can and you'll be good to go.
