Default How does the back-up light switch work?

I have a stand-alone engine harness that doesn't have any wires for the back-up light (obviously) and a shifter that doesn't have a switch for back-up lights. I called B&M and they said the shifter can't be adapted for the reverse lights.

However, I think it can be done...I just need a little help. My body harness has the two wires I need - one for the switch and 12 v power. The rear lights are already wired.

The stand-alone engine harness I have doesn't use the large, oval plug on the driver's side of the tranny so I'm guessing this is how the stock wiring switched on the reverse lights?

If this is how the stock car made the switch, does anyone sell the pigtail that plugs into this plug? The tranny is out of a 2004 GTO. Any other ideas on how to make this work?

Jeff
